1996/2013 A Bittersweet Accident
I was really desperate for film one day when all the shops were closed. I found some old film in my dad's home office, it looked unused. It was a 24 exposure Kodak roll, in an old metal canister that was slightly rusting at the bottom. I shot away with my Diana Mini. Once I'd had the film processed I found my old family photos from 1996, now overlaid by photos of my friends and I in 2013. I have no clue what camera whoever took these photos used, but they came out so uniquely beautiful. It was bittersweet though, as I was slightly sad for spoiling a few previously unseen photos of myself as a child and my young parents, but had I not found and used this film, I probably would have never gotten the chance to see these photos. Plus the effect and concept of old and new blows my mind, what a wonderful bittersweet accident this turned out to be.
