Folkeflyet = "The peoples plane"

This "plane" was created by the inventor Sigurd Tjøsvold in 1958. He had no education but primaryschool. He called the plane a gyroplane because of the controlmethod. Whether it flew or not i don't know. During his life he also designed a few onewheeled motorcycles, using the same controlmethod, with electrical motors or twocylinder petrolengines. In 1958 a french company wanted to pay him 1 billion franc for the patentrights. It was 180 cm high (six feet high) and 255 cm wide (8.5 feet wide). In 1961 he travelled to the USA to complete the experiments with the plane. He was in contact with several companies over there, even NASA rumour has it.
