Along with Cezanne, Van Gogh and Gauguin, French painter, draftsman, printmaker and illustrator Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is one among the giants of the Post-Impressionist Period. His fascination with the colorful and theatrical life in Paris in the 1800s motivated him to capture in his art the bohemian lifestyle prevalent at that time particularly in Montmartre. This immersion led him to be a habitue of drinking bars, himself becoming an alcoholic addicted to American cocktail drinks. This set of experimental triples features Lautrec's art textured with neon bar signs and street scenes. What appeared to be Actionsampler-like layer is not at all taken with an Actionsampler but a Pop9. That mystery will be a tipster-in-the-making. Enjoy the tipsy character of these shots. Remember, drink moderately. Cheers!
