this one was a happy accident, however there is a way to deliberately do multiple exposures on the AE-1. You take a picture and then press the little film release button on the bottom (can you tell i'm not a photo wiz?) and advance the film and take another one. And I'm pretty sure you can keep doing that as many times as you like but I've only ever experimented with double exposures.
