I first became interested in photography, specifically film photography about a year and a half ago. I started off with a Lomography Diana F+. I think this is a great camera, because it’s just so basic, all you have to work with is the film you choose, plus light and composition. I spent about 10 months experimenting with these three basics (in fact I’m still experimenting), which profoundly opened my eyes to the beauty of light and how it changes through the day throughout the year. I quickly became aware of the difference between what we see with our eyes and what the camera sees. This made me want to experiment with depth of field and exposure under different light conditions and so I made the jump to an SLR. I got a Nikon FM2n and I’m building up a nice collection of lenses. So this is where I’m at now. After reading this you must be thinking ‘what a riveting story that was’: not. At any rate, I hope my pictures speak for themselves. Every shot, feels like another small lesson, and I never get bored of learning. show more show less
