reddeviltj's LomoHome

female from Casco, United States

My first camera was a Kodak that my mom gave me after we saved proof-of-purchase seals off the rolls of Scott Toilet Tissue back in the late 1960s. I took bunches of photos of my sisters and their friends. From there I moved up to other Kodak Instamatics, flash cubes, flash strips, etc. then a Canon Snappy. Once I "grew up" I started collecting Minolta SLRs and manual cameras. My daughter (caterpillars on here and flickr) introduced me to Lomography when she asked for the supersampler and colorsplash for Christmas one year. I bought them for her then had to start my own collection. I have a BA in Fine, Performing & Communication Arts, Fashion Design from Wayne State University in Detroit and would so love to do something with that someday. I have an Etsy store where I list some little things. Art has been in my head since I picked up my first crayon and won a 1st place blue ribbon in elementary school for a painting that wasn't even finished. I had a tendency to get side-tracked and not finish things - guess the judges liked the look. My photos have appeared on the 2008 Lomowall and on the Absolute Michigan blog. If you're ever looking for me out there I've been reddeviltj for 10 years (it's a Jeep thing). show more show less
