analogeanstalten

Analoge Anstalten & Digitale Rumdrucksereien. I'm Diana and I started analogue photography because I found a camera I could easily identify with. From the day on when I used all my birthday money to buy a Diana Mini and some rolls of film, I shot everything I found. On film and digitally, since I don't really have a tendency to hunting. My father always told me to handle our scanner with caution, but I was everything but a careful kid and so I scanned hundreds of things that you normally wouldn't put into a scanner. You will see all the scratches that my reckless child me left on it on the scans of my analogue photos. I normally don't edit analogue scans because Iit's a bit like lying. And what I like about photography is that it's an artsy kind of telling a truth. I will leave the dust stains you will find on scans because I want everyone who looks at my stuff to remember that holding a picture in your own hands, with the author right next to you telling you the story about it, is a whole different thing. A whole different thing from sitting in front of a screen and wondering wether the stain you see is on the photo or on your monitor. But let's end all this viennese bitchiness about what's good and what's not and say what's important: welcome to my random, exciting photo spot!
