Looking for Jean Vigo

Back in Nice for a Week End, I made again one of my favorite photo walks: following the path of Jean Vigo's masterpiece "A propos de Nice " (1930) to shoot some of the places in the movie: the old city, castle hill, castle hill cemetery and finishing on the famous "Promenade des Anglais". You can have a look at this beautiful short movie here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=24Ti_8c6qjI Jean Vigo was strongly inspired by Dziga Vertov's masterpiece "Man with a movie camera" (1929) (www.youtube.com/watch?v=24Ti_8c6qjI). One thing about the link between these 2 movies: Jean Vigo's cameraman, Boris Kaufman, was the brother of Dziga Vertov's cameraman/actor, Mikhail Kaufman... Enjoy the movies and the pictures! :)
