Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I’m doing post graduate work in visual arts with photography and photo-based aquatic research. I also do illustrations and I’m interested in working with video production.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

Since 2008 when a friend lent me a Holga 120 CFN. After the first film was revealed I really liked the result. By that time i got very interested in Lomography so i started to research about it. Soon after I bought my first camera

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Awesome, funny, accessible, charming and surprising.

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

In places with a lot of movement, with plenty of sunshine, which i can use light to achieve different effects in the film.

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

it’s amazing how the photographer can shoot scenes in a simple way but with a totally different result every time. Remember the old filming techniques.

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

It was funny because I used the LomoKino and some people thought i was just playing around with an old camera that was not recording anything, and I heard something like: "Hey, looks like one of those old cameras, it’s a pity it doesn’t work anymore!“

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

A fight between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. It would be amazing to explore the effects provided by the lightsaber in the film.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

I like this one!

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I want to start producing short films as the video ’Vou Guardar", in which my friend Mathias Townsend produced the soundtrack, focusing on images related to music and maybe in the future a clip of some band.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Test and use very many films, preferably different and seek to shoot what you love and the result will be nice.
