Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

Hi, I work as an Online Manager for Lomography Brazil. Before I got this incredible job I worked as a copywriter. I really like to explore creativity using different mediums. So I try to stay involved in projects and ideas related to photography, filmmaking, writing, design, surfing, skateboarding, and whatever appears in front of me.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

I discovered the Lomographic society a long time ago, I think it’s was 6 years ago. My first camera was the Fisheye No2. I started using this camera in all of my trips and she’s still one of my favorite cameras.

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Magical, fun, mysterious, surprising and pretty.

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

I really like to use the Kino to shoot things in movement. The result is very fun, like a stop motion of the real life. And what it’s most incredible about is the good feeling of memories popping in your mind when you watch the movie you made.

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

In September I used a Super-8 camera in a trip that I made to Vienna and I loved the experience. So when I first saw the LomoKino movies I thought “I really need to put my hands in this gadget."

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

My first weekend with the LomoKino, I took the camera with me in all the places I went, the most funny things that I heard were in the soccer stadium, people looked at me and asked me about the camera and what I was doing. The camera brought a lot of luck because my team ended up winning the match.

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

I think I would choose to shoot a short movie with my grandparents, they are not here anymore unfortunately but it would be cool because they really loved movies and photography. And because of them I get involved in this universe.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

This one is difficult. I really liked all the three movies that I made so far, but if I need to pick one I guess it would be the soccer game because after this match, my team, Corinthians, won all the remaining matches and ended up with the National League Title.

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I want to shoot a longer video around 10 minutes. Right now I’m still thinking about the idea and its scenarios. Let’s see what happens.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Don’t think too much and explore the possibilities. Ah, and don’t forget to look in the display to make sure you are capturing what you want ;)

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!
