Wa'ahila Ridge
Most people would not guess that pine trees grow in Honolulu, Hawaii. Norfolk and Cook Pines grow on the high slopes of our volcanic islands. Thought to come from the southern hemisphere, the young trees are often sold as local Christmas trees.
These are at the top of the district know as St. Louis Heights in a park associated with the Wa'ahila Ridge.
