Baybayin or alibata is the indigenous script of the people of the Philippines. Sadly, the christianizatition of the aboriginal people led to the disuse of the script in favor of the Roman alphabet promoted by the Spanish colonizers. Took these doubles with baybayin letters superimposed against self-portraits in my hotel room in Dipolog (was there recently to facilitate a workshop).
