The Shot of My 2011

Are you ready? Well, here it is!

Why do I like it best, you ask?

Simple. It was full of firsts, and it let me cross off five things from my bucket list: a) make and use my own redscale film b) capture a light leak c) accidentally expose my film twice d) rummage through my files and catch a sight of a photo I don’t remember taking e) capture all my favorite elements, e.g., lines, patterns, and shadows in one. Now I only have to work on a hundred-something more.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned the previous year, it’s that life is a simple but complex motion picture stitched with surprises and challenges. Even if some things are not going your way, even if you make mistakes and get stressed out by them all the time, it’s okay. You’re still doing a great job, Mr./Ms. Director! So give yourself a break and shoot more and enjoy life!

Rule #8 and #9: You don't have to know beforehand what you captured on film. Afterwards either.:D cool shot! =)
