32 is the magic number with redscale
1 6Redscale XR 50-200 is an amazing film that really benefits from being underexposed. In fact shooting with iso 25-50 it’s not really redscale at all but a wonderful range of colours from deep blues to sepias.
Shooting with iso 32 still brings out the flame range of colours when shooting directly into the sun, even if it has just set.
After early difficulties, Redscale XR 50-200 is one of my favourite films. I would be more than happy to be limited to just a few films. Redscale XR or a nice B&W film in my Olympus and my other favourite of the Lomo Chrome film in my LCA+ (still haven’t quite mastered shooting the Tungsten yet).
