Amnesty Workshop
Final cut for Amnesty photo documentary workshop. this set was about Malaysian public space and Peaceful Assembly Bill 2011. What these public spaces have in common? they was assambly point of many past peaceful assembly, demo and protest. Despite positive name of the bill the law are far more restricted. It also clearly rule out places where you cant have public assembly, and slowly we are losing our public spaces. This series covered few public spaces such as bukit bintang, taman KLCC, masjid negara, dataran merdeka and stadium merdeka. Few peaceful and creative protest such as #VforAdamAdli, light a lantern safe jalan sultan, #OccupyDataran was covered in this set. All was shot on film with M6 and horizont perfekt. ©hanifmaidin 2012 slides show: https://vimeo.com/42493328
