Braga Street
Braga Street is a historic street in the center of Bandung, known for its European-style ambiance in the 1920s colonial era. Lined with chic cafes, boutiques, and restaurants, it helped earn Bandung the Dutch nickname Parijs van Java (“Paris of Java”). Today, it remains one of the most visited streets in the city and a favorite spot for street photography, especially in the mornings and afternoons when the area is bustling with activity.

This neighborhood is a favorite hangout spot – perfect for meet-ups, breakfast, or simply strolling around with friends. ABC Street gets its name from the abbreviation of three major ethnic groups that have long lived in the area. These groups represent the largest communities residing near the heart of Bandung’s city government. In essence, the name “Jalan ABC” carries a strong message of unity. Today, ABC Street is known as a central business district for fabrics, carpets, and eyeglasses. But it’s also a fantastic spot for photography! For years, both locals and tourists have brought their cameras here to capture its unique blend of Bandung’s past and present. If you’re into street photography, this place is for you! Whether you’re carrying an SLR or a compact point-and-shoot, just start snapping – ABC Street is bursting with life and color!
