The ceramics handcraftsmanship is alive inside theses houses, old red brick ovens and mountains. A beautiful place surrounded by mountains (Serra do Mar, Serra da Mantiqueira and Serra da Quebra-Cangalha). The city starts where once was an old King's warehouse, in the middle of the Estrada Real (the road where gold was transported to the Port, in Paraty-RJ).
