    The Alameda de Hercules, Sevilla

[Asset:190266] Since the 16th Century, the ever-sociable Sevillanos have been enjoying a stroll, or paseo, in the wide, tree lined promenade called the Alameda de Hercules. In the four hundred and some years it has existed, the Alameda has been everything from a fashionable meeting place for the upper classes to a run down area with drug and prostitution problems. Now it's one of the busiest, liveliest and most funky places in the city.

Or were you on the other end of the scale, and was brought up in full fledged corn maze visiting, home decor that resembles a graveyard, building a costume for months kind of household? Well, let me tell you about my Halloween memories.

However… if you’re looking for a fru-fru drink with an umbrella, know that you’ve come to the wrong place. There is no blender in this pub!

The first time I went to this pub was during the World Congress in 2007. De Hems is open until midnight all days of the week save for Sunday. What a happy surprise as this is a wonderful pub.
