earthquake and tsunami-hit area 3.11 Japan

Large sections of Tōhoku Area were critically destroyed by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and fires on March 11, 2011.
These photos are shot in Kesennuma city, northern part of Miyagi Pre. The city is one of the most damaged area.
I went to the disaster section of the city for the volunteer activity.
The horrible scene of the disaster is beyond all description.

I read in the news that some of the damaged railway lines are now running again. Is that right?

That's right. Many of the railways were restored and running now. I think it's amazingly quick work. Some of lines are not yet restored because they were located too close to the sea and damaged devastatingly.
