So many years ago I was in the Big Apple for a performance of an advocacy play on women's rights at the UN and had the opportunity to watch the Broadway musical Rent. The latter is a contemporary adaptation by Jonathan Larson of Giacomo Puccini's La Boheme - ie., a view of bohemian lives of artists placed in the modern context of New York. This album is my way of remembering that happy Broadway moment.
