At the Funfair with my Horizon Perfekt

Every year my city Como hosts, for the Easter period, a great fun fair. This is a great occasion to test a camera, to make experiments with films, to have fun and to photograph people while also having fun! This year, I used my gem, the wonderful Horizon Perfekt (that I bought from the Lomography Online Shop) loaded with a timeless film, a Kodak Tri-X 400 developed, as usually for b/w, by myself. Read more after the jump!

    Barefoot in the Sky...

This is my preferred carousel. The adrenaline rush, high speed, loops...this is the "X-danger Zone". Taste the joy to touch the sky with your toes, caressing the sky while you are flying barefoot!

    May's Fair

Our carousel of life has to be fun, lively, and full of color. It is the May Fair that brings color to the city of Leiria, every May, every year. Tradition is to bring the rain back. If there is no rain then there is the real fair.

A Salute to the Masters: A Caprice Without Tears (A Tribute to Henry Grant)

This is a tribute to Henry Grant (1907–2004), a British freelance photographer, ten years after his death. He was mostly active around London between the end of World War II and the 1970s. For a tribute to him, I chose one of his preferred subjects: the carousels at fun fairs. Take a look after the jump!

    Canobie Lake Park

Canobie Lake Park is a fun place full of lomographic potential. With a wonderful mix of old-time and classic attractions next to more modern rides suited to satisfy thrill-seekers, you will have to remind yourself to stop taking pictures so you can enjoy going on a few rides too!

Every year, in the beginning of May, the carnival arrives at Leiria. There come the gypsies along with their trucks, tents and colorful lights bringing fun and amusement to all.
