If you're a bit confused on what I'm talking about, here's a look at Capital Ex - an annual festival that we get to enjoy - or not, every July.

    October Festivities: Goose Fair

I've become a serial attender of the Goose Fair in Nottingham if only to try and capture some interesting photos. Last year was all about bold colours and cross-processing but this year I fancied trying some night shots with the bulb mode on the La Sardina. This is how it went.

There is just something about riding a funicular that brings out the child in me. I get all giddy with excitement as the slanted tram travels up a very steep slope normally with fantastic views along the way. This particular funicular was in Barcelona and is one of the two ways you can get up to Mt. Tibidabo (aside from car/bus-boring!) and is over 100 years old and is the first of its kind in all of Spain!

It's that time of the year again when, on any given Friday or Saturday night in October, anywhere around the world, you could stumble upon a lederhosen clad lad and a dirndl dressed lass. Luckily, my birthday is also in October so last year, we were able to combine the two in my hometown on the Central Coast of Australia having a big Oktoberfest celebration.

It is a stepping-off point for most attractions based around the harbour and an exciting place to be on a warm summer's day. Luna Park is just a short ferry ride across the Harbour from Circular Quay and is a fun place with a dark history.
