    Favourite PHOTOLABS in Canada eh!

From the East Coast in Halifax, to Southern Ontario I've had quite a few experiences with different photolabs in my travels from Australia to Canada and beyond but these are just two of my favorite photolabs in Canada. They've never lost a film, I've never had one come back blank and always meet expectations.

Fisherman's Cove: A Centuries Old Fishing Village Frozen in Time

Fisherman's Cove is a Lomographer's paradise, and it amazes me how much you can escape from the city with only a 25-minute drive from the city of Halifax in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. I've eaten some of the best fish and chips of my life here, and you will be able to turn and shoot in any direction!

    Halifax Farmers Market

If you've ever been to Halifax on a Saturday you've most likely found your way to the farmers market. There have been some big changes over the past year with the move from the cramped Alexander Keiths Brewery location to the new Waterfront Market, but all your favorite vendors are still there and the atmosphere is still electric. The good thing is, it is now open 4 days of the week!

    Haligonians Big East Coast Heart

I did photography for a wedding on the weekend and a loud roar followed by glasses clinking went out for toasting to the groom's 'Big East Coast Heart' and if there is one thing that I can say that I love about the east coast, it would definitely be the people, but read on to find out what else everyone loves about the main place I've played in over in that fun place called the Maritimes, Halifax in Nova Scotia.

    Halifax Public Gardens in Redscale

It's coming into fall in the northern hemisphere and although to me that is just a reminder that winter is around the corner it is a great time to get out and take some Lomographs! I headed to the local public gardens and what better place is there to see how the seasons change!

    The Dingle Turns 100

The Dingle Memorial Tower is a large, four-sided, slightly-tapered structure situated in a prominent location on a knoll, overlooking the shores of the North West Arm of Halifax in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. On Natal Day this year, we went and explored the Tower and its beautiful surroundings to celebrate its 100th birthday.

    Peggys Cove

Peggys Cove is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Nova Scotia and is a prime attraction on the Lighthouse Trail scenic drive. The community's famous lighthouse marks the eastern entrance of St. Margarets Bay and is officially known as the Peggys Point Lighthouse. This lighthouse is one of the most-photographed structures in Atlantic Canada and one of the most recognizable lighthouses in the world.

Not as Easy as a Walk in the Park or is it?

If you are like me, your favorite date spot usually has something to do with a place which is great for taking photos. On our first date I said to this boy of mine that he'll need to get used to my constant stopping for photos and that he did. We both like walking and love going adventuring in new places so walks in the park are ideal, especially when the weather is nice.

Autumn Leaves All Around: My Lomographic History with Fallen Leaves

The wind is getting colder and the leaves are starting to drop, it's beginning to feel a lot like fall. This will be my third real fall season. Coming from Australia, the land of the evergreen, I love being able to experience the beautiful colors and these lomographs are a recount of my past two fall seasons.

Basking in the Sun at Crystal Crescent Beach, Nova Scotia

Crystal Crescent Beach is one of the best-known beaches in the Halifax area. White sand and a sheltered beach park make this area very popular with locals and tourists. We headed there on a lovely summer day and stayed until the fog rolled in.

    Travel Memories of 2011

I know I've kind of missed the boat on posts wrapping up the year that has past in photos or memories but I still wanted to have the opportunity to go through and pick some of my faves that you may or may not have seen over the past year from my Lomography film cameras. When I saw the requested post tagline of Most Memorable Travel Escapades in 2011, I thought that it all fit in nicely together too.

    My 2012 in Analogue

Looking back on this year I know I will not remember it by the month, rather by the place that I was. I was extremely lucky this year to start the year where I come from in Australia, finish it in London, Canada where I now call home and visit a bunch of places in between.

This Calls for a Celebration: The Armview

The Armview restaurant and Lounge is located in Halifax, in the Canadian provence of Nova Scotia. The Armview has seen a great number of celebrations in it's day, and this year it topped it off with celebrating it's 60th year, a great feat for any restaurant! It is also one of my favourites for celebrating a special occasion or just catching up with friends over a milkshake.

I Licked the Bone, Ribs in Halifax

If you like ribs, you'll like Boneheads. A relatively new restaurant in Halifax, it has been accepted by Haligonians and unlike a lot of unfortunate other restaurants in Halifax that open and close within a year, I think this one is here to stay.
