Getting Stoked in San Juan La Union

The hot sun and sand, the cool water and awesome consistent waves of San Juan, La Union is my favorite destination in the whole of Luzon! Even if it is 5 hours away from my home in Manila, Philippines, I would gladly leave at 1AM to catch waves early in the morning and then leave after dinner to get enough sleep before work the next day! (OK, so I’ll probably have someone else drive)

Owning One of A Hundred Islands

For that day, we owned one private, beautiful island. It was probably the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. Indeed, it's an island, but a really small one. It's sand was white but it wasn't the finest. It's water was clear but it wasn't the bluest.. But what made the difference was, that it was ours!!!

Windy Ericeira in the Cliffs of the Atlantic

Ericeira is a fisherman village placed in the cliffs facing the Atlantic and surrounded by beaches that attract both surfers and tourists. It is located 35km northwest from Lisbon. The cliffs where it stands provide great views of the Atlantic ocean and the magnificent sunsets over the sea.

Gokarna is definitely a magnificent place for a beach holiday but also nice to spend time in the village, temples are everywhere. It is downright inexpensive. Food and accommodation believe me is dirt-cheap on these beaches.

Villa Carolina Resort in Bolinao, Pangasinan

Taking advantage of the weekend, my friends and I went on a road trip to the beaches of Luzon! We ended up drove all the way to Pangasinan and saw the various beaches including the Hundred Islands and San Juan, La Union, but we stayed here in Bolinao.

When I decided to come back to Brazil, I studied the geographic map and I was fascinating to discover this big island at the mouth of the Amazon and Tocantins rivers. It’s roughly the sides of the Netherlands and Switzerland, but no more than a dozen villages are scattered in Marajò.

Punta Cana is a beautiful area located on the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic that is part of the Island “La Hispaniola” in the Caribbean region. The beaches with warm, blue and calm water have a lot of natural coral reefs that surround them, so it can be a good place to practice sports, especially water sports.
