Allure

This image is very much about love and devotion and about the challenges we often find ourselves in the relationships – particularly with the ones we love.
A red rose is said to be one of passion and romance but a white rose, in days of old, the sign of everlasting true love.
This one is dedicated to my girlfriend. As promised, something beautiful and bright. Inspired by the love, devotion and special friendship we share.

    Thanks for the like and the touching comment. I do hope very much you find the rose, white and true.
    As per the referenced in the short video clip below, when you spot your flower, you can't let anything get in your way.

    One of the things I enjoy most about my girlfriend is the banter we have. We can pretty much talk about anything and argue about even more!

    On one occasion, she bought to my attention about a poem titled the “White Rose” by John Boyle O'Reilly:

    “The red rose whispers of passion,
    And the white rose breathes of love;
    O, the red rose is a falcon,
    And the white rose is a dove.
    But I send you a cream-white rosebud
    With a flush on its petal tips;
    For the love that is purest and sweetest
    Has a kiss of desire on the lips.”

    I found reading the poem very touching and reflective of what I was trying to achieve with this image and several in the album 'The Garden [Of Earthly Delights]'.
    What more can I say? I am more of a pictures person than one of words!
