Cambodian Kid at Angkor Wat

I used to wonder why there are so many photos of cambodian kids taken at Angkor Wat. Where do they come from? Why are they not in school? I knew why once I got there. They pose for you for a quarter or whatever you are willing to pay them. Sympathetic tourists may believe it may help the kids as they are probably making more than an average local adult. "There's a boss who collects all the money at the end of the day." My driver said. I snapped a photo anyway, I am just a tourist after all.
