This is better dynamic range and less highlight blowout with 85B and UV filters. B&W color (was) excellent before Post Process - that's art ;)

1961 #eastman #kodak #5302 processed in Kodak #D97. Shot at ISO6 with UV and tungsten to daylight #85B filter to cut down on UV and blue light sensitivity. First time with D97 and I had no dev time so I went with 3 1/2 minutes based on D96. Agitation appears to be too intensive. Twist agitation probably blew out tops and bottoms of frames, unless ??? ideas? Fixed in Kodak F5 for 9 minutes and washed for 5 minutes. All development data from Kodak Movie module 15. D-97 Water, about 50°C (125°F) 750 mL Quadrofos or Calgon1 1.0 g (DID NOT USE) Metol 0.5 g Sodium Sulfite (Anhydrous) 40.0 g Hydroquinone 3.0 g Sodium Carbonate (Monohydrated) 20.0 g Potassium Bromide (Anhydrous) 2.0 g Sodium Hydroxide 2.0 g Water to make 1.00 L;
F5 (hardening fix) Water, about 50°C (125°F) 600 mL Sodium Thiosulfate Anhydrous (Hypo) 153 g (In this formula 153 g of KODAK Sodium Thiosulfate Anhydrous (Hypo) is equivalent to 240 g of KODAK Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrate (Hypo). Sodium Sulfite (Anhydrous) 15.0 g 28 Percent Acetic Acid 48.0 mL Boric Acid (Anhydrous Crystals) 7.5 g Potassium Alum 15.0 g Water to make 1.00 L. Development of the central frames was excellent. All focus issues are connected to hand held ASA6 speeds. This is the original developer for this film but it completed as a #negative, not a #positive ... ?
