   Hi @lomodesbro , my grandfather was a great man for me !!! not only the snappy braces had personality !!! He was an artist as an artist as well as a human !!! best regards, Ralph

   Ja @msiegel , nicht nur die Zeiss Nettel 512, auch das fotografieren !!! Er hat meine Freude für die Fotografie erkannt, sich die Zeit für mich genommen, und mir sehr viel auf den Weg mitgegeben !!! Lernte bereits als Kind, was Goldener Schnitt bedeutet, Kontraste und Ton in Ton auszunutzen, um dem Bild Leben zu geben. Ein toller Opa !!!!

   Hallo @msiegel , ....er hat mir viel mitgegeben, war aber als Ur-Preuße von Natur aus auch sehr sehr streng. Kriege und Nachkriegszeiten haben die Frontgenerationsmenschen zusätzlich noch geprägt (...für uns in den 70gern waren ja bereits unsere Eltern "altmodisch", unsere Grosseltern waren die Steigerung, besser gings nicht !!!).
   Ich muss jedoch zugeben, dass mein Opa es mir einfach gemacht hat. Nachdem er mich lange beobachtet hatte, was ich mit dem Material zum Zeichnen machte, welches er mir hingelegt hatte. Ich habe alles gezeichnet, was im Umfeld lag, er kam ab und zu, um mir einen Tip geben, ...und dann ging es los mit richtigem Unterricht im zeichnen !!! Er fotografierte auch gerne, und da hatte ich echt großes Glück !!!!

   @koduckgirl My grandfather was in the Prussian Academy of Art in Berlin. As a son of a locomotive driver, he had to finance his training as a draftsman himself. Therefore, he works in lithography Feldmüller 1910-1915 lithogaph (by chance, I have a Feldmüller lithography in ebay auctioned - is in this album watch, and very humorous: who drinks well, sleeps well! who sleeps, does not sin! who not sin, come to paradise !!!).
   When the World War broke out, my grandfather was fortunate that a captain found his pictures beautiful and he had taken him away from the battlefield. My grandfather became a card-maker for the High Command in Macedonia. The field pilots brought a photographer to 2000 meters from where they took topographical photos. these were then developed, put together and warned the basis for the mapmakers...
   I collect material (info, stories & photos of his department), but it is not easy, because the archive from the first world war in the second world war was completely destroyed and burnt down by bombing. a very nice challenge to search the material for a book about my grandpa !!! every fund is a pleasure !!!! and that it pleases makes it even more beautiful for me !!!
