mechanical masterpiece with an ugly sound
the f2 is a professional analog camera, a mechanical masterpiece which is fully functional all manual but with an electronic exposure meter attached. i got mine for a fairly good price on ebay in mint condition and i love to shoot it. getting it sharp is very easy due to the bright finder, exposure meter seems to work well, loading the film is easy and everything moves smooth. i really like that camera, but i don't like the sound it makes. the shutter release sound is really ugly and so is the advance lever. i wish the profession of a sound designer had already been invented when they built this camera. well, let's concentrate on the aesthetic of the pictures nit of the sound :) i have a nikkor 50mm 1.4 and tokina 17mm 3.5 lens to attach besides the cheaper nikon 150mm, 35mm 2.8 and 50mm 3.5 and extension tube set. seems as if i am all set.
