Frensham Pond, Surrey, UK, on a cold winter morning

This series was taken at a lake that lies a 10-minute drive from my house, on a bright but very cold (-5°C) Sunday morning in winter (2 December 2012) - I was the first person there (at 8.00 in the morning, shortly after sunrise), and felt an overwhelming sense of euphoria at being the only person around in a spectacular location, on a sunny day, with two fully loaded cameras: a Nikon F100 loaded with Ilford XP2 (this album) and a Horizon Perfekt (which I received yesterday) loaded with Kodak Portra 160 (which will be uploaded as soon as I find a lab in the UK that can scan panorama negatives - any advice welcome!). I'll freely admit this is not the best album in the world, but it's one I'll always have fond memories of shooting.

@ vici: uh huh :-) Funnily enough, I thought of you while I was out there: I was thinking how spectacular that location would be for a hot-air balloon session, and had your wonderful balloon shots in mind...!

Great one!! You look great but I especially like the Nikon's shadow. Will we be seeing the view from the Horizon when you get them scanned?
