The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is a museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is a former high school which was used as a prison and interrogation centre by the communist Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979. It was also known as S-21. Tuol Sleng is a Khmer name meaning "hill of the poisonous trees."
