Noli Me Tangere is one of the Philippine national hero Jose Rizal's seditious novels that instigate the mass consciousness of the Filipinos (then called indios) on the ills of the Spanish regime. Published in Germany in , 1887, it narrates about the social cancer that has been decaying the the minds of the natives into submission to the colonial masters. During the recent Luzon-wide conference of artists in Bulacan, we were treated to an evening performance of an original musical interpretation of the play by the Barasoian Kalinangan Foundation in Malolos. Flash photography was not allowed during the performance so I just depended on my camera's lightmeter to do its wonders. This set is also part of my experiment on creative framing.
