I had been to Tagaytay City so many times but not to the Tierra de Maria which is a citadel of prayer for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Majority of the Filipinos are Catholic, many of whom Marian devotees. So when I went to Silang, Cavite recently to buy barako coffee beans, I headed to Tagaytay and rode a jeepney to the Picnic Grove which is beside this prayerful place. The Tierra de Maria has this humongous Marian statue and a small chapel with lots of Marian images. The next area to the compound is a Japanese garden. Took a few pictures during this short visit.
