oh, that remnds me the kid portraits I made in Burkina Faso.... Don't know if it's the same in Kenya, but I had the feeling that the kids liked to be taken in picture and have something so true and honest in front of the camera... and that gives great portraits! :)
i remember the powerful B&W portraits that you made with Holga in Burkina Faso... these kids were living in a very remote area in Kenya where life was really difficult. i guess they were very rarely photographed, so they were quite exicted to see their own photos displayed on my colleague's digital camera LCD. they did not have the least idea of posing for a picture and that's why the pictures came out with this natural look...next time, i'd like to do some B&W portraits just like what you did!
