This lovely little church has such a warm welcoming aura. It's tucked away on a leafy back street of Whalley Range in Manchester. Whalley Range, one of Manchesters first suburbs, was built by banker Samuel Brooks as a 'desirable estate for gentlemen and their families'. Originally a toll gate was positioned at the entrance to the estate. However in 1896 this nonsense was put to an end presumably because the main roads through Whalley Range provide much needed access to the wards in the south.
