Les Rencontres d'Arles Summer Photography Festival

Founded by photographer Lucien Clergue and his friends, the historian Jean-Maurice Rouquette, and the writer Michel Tournier in 1970, Rencontres d’Arles is a summer photography festival that takes place between July and September in Arles, a town in Provence, Southern France. The location of the exhibitions take place in several places around town. Gathering thousands of visitors.

Last year’s Recontres d’Arles gathered about 75,000 people. From art lovers, to artists, students, spectators, and tourists.
