Here in LomographyLondonLand we like to spread our analogue love all over the place and this is exactly what we did back in the spring. After quite a long wait (and it was well worth it too) the photos are finally back! There are palm trees and beaches beside tube signs, St. Paul’s Cathedral has been magically transported to the Kowloon side and Big ben has been splashed with chinese characters… quite amazing!
Last April and June we had two great little workshops with the LCA+. One group was shooting a roll for our sister store in Hong Kong and the other group for our store in Barcelona. Everyone was able to take the camera home and shoot with it over a whole weekend to really capture the true London feel into each roll. They were all encouraged to capture all things British from flags, London tube signs to twee floral tea sets plus a self portrait.
We then collected all the film and whisked them off to the south-east in Hong Kong and to sunny Barcelona where the British film rolls were met by 10 foreign Lomography lovers. They then each got to shoot all things Chinese and Spanish over the top (London)! The suspense was almost too much to bear!
After some magic work from our very own Lomolab, they are finally here in full colourful analogue glory and what stunning results! We are currently working on setting up an in-store exhibition which will feature a favourite photo from each collaborator. Stay tuned for the details!
