Favorite Childhood Hangout Place: Sungai Pandan Waterfall

2011-09-11

Sungai Pandan Waterfall was formerly known as Panching Waterfall. It is about 25 km from the center of Kuantan town. The journey from the town to Sungai Pandan Waterfall takes about half-an-hour drive.

Sungai Pandan Waterfall is famous among the locals. They like to hang out at this place during the weekends. Sungai Pandan Waterfall is equipped with facilities such as parking spaces, toilets, food stalls, and rest huts. These facilities are convenient for the visitors.

My father used to bring my siblings and I to Sungai Pandan Waterfall once in a while during the weekends. I believe most of the kids like to play with water, and so did I. I would splash water towards my siblings and start a water fight. Sometimes, I soaked myself in the water, looked at the blue sky and admired the beauty of nature. Besides that, I would sit at the bottom of the fall and let the water hit my body. It felt like nature was giving me a free massage! Although the water was cold and I was shivering, I managed to have fun at the same time. Now, I choose to sit on a rock, soak my feet into the water, and think of the good old days. :)

Sungai Pandan Waterfall is definitely my favorite childhood hangout place. It has become a part of my memorable childhood.
