Lomography Lady Grey Black and White film 400 35mm Review

This is a review of the new Lomography Lady Grey Black and White film.

When we talk about Black and White Photography, we think of vintage, old memories and the good old days. Films make immortal impressions of these memorable images possible. You may instantly think of brands such as Kodak and Ilford. Now, Lomography has joined the group and I’m about to introduce you their new 35mm Black and White film: Lady Grey 400 B&W. Legend? Not yet, as it’s still new. But I would say that it has many fantastic potentials.

When I see it in Lomography Shop, I decided to get some. There are two black and white films by Lomography, the Lomo Earl Grey ISO 100 and Lomo Lady Grey ISO 400. Now, I’m going to have a review on ISO 400 Lady Grey.

Having a film speed of 400 make it versatile to be used during both day and night. With great film detail as you can see, even in low light conditions, high contrast and fine tonal gradient could still be retained. Fines grains even when the image is over-exposed or under exposed. It is interesting that being a high speed film, it is still capable of producing images with quality comparable to other low speed films. When I get my negatives back, I am impressed by the darkness of the black color this film produced. That’s what I love! The darkness of the black color makes my images look even more mysterious and at the same time, add more contrast to the tonal gradient in the photos. That’s what I especially love about this film.

Lomography’s Lady Grey is a lovely black and white 35mm ISO 400 film that will add class and elegance to your photos. For capturing action and great low-light shots, Lady Grey is your best bet. See our selection of Lomography films here.
