Inspired by the Tori Amos Rome competition I wondered how could I photograph Rome in Wellington New Zealand.
I came up with a stencil design based on Roman Architecture to cast a shilouette on my negative and I got the idea for that from this brilliant tipster
Choppity chop, I sketched then cut out a stencil shape to fit on the back of my Diana's 16 frame mask.
By the way I’m using 35mm stock in the back of Diana with my own sponge and masking tape version of this tipster that uses rubber bands rather than tape (don’t forget to off center your new spool as it recesses in to the top of the camera);
So on my second try I flipped the stencil around and got the result I was aiming for.
