One of the reasons why we love winter so much is because we finally get to pull out that Game of Thrones saying, "Winter is here." The thought of spending Christmas time with your loved ones and watching the snow falling will warm your heart in a second.
Believe it or not, today is Hat Day! So maybe you can start your Monday a little bit fashionable or eccentric by donning an elegant wide brim, or an animal party hat at that! For this week's Monday Moodboard we bring the old custom of tipping one's hat as a greeting.
It's that time of year when we have to embrace the colder weather and try to enjoy it as much as possible. All those walks full of kicking around the leaves will make you want to capture those beautiful autumn colors and enjoy the view.
They say art destroys lives, just the way Vincent Van Gogh met his demise. It's a stereotype that creativity happens at the expense of our sanity. It is the other way around. Art saves lives, and photography has saved much more in the modern world.
We gathered a pool of young photographers to give us their insights on photography, being its future, and other things in this interview series for Lomography's 25th anniversary. This time, we take a look at Dia Takacsova's pensive photographs of lands far away.
For this very special LomoWalk we are teaming up with our friends at Strand Books and will take you and your Lomography Simple Use Camera on a beautiful NYC walk that combines photography and literature. Inspiration will be provided by author Eileen Myles.
The TEN AND ONE Residency Week has been very intense and full of activities. From 11 to 18 November, we did LomoWalks around Vienna, guided visits to museums and magazine editorial office, a workshop, a trip to Bratislava, worked on our LomoWall and of course LomoLunch and LomoDinner. We had the opportunity to attend a Cyanotype Workshop at Lomography Head Quarter held by Michael Wuermer, a young and nice photographer and printer.
