It was a Friday night, and we were head-banging in Zouk Club!
It was a Friday night and the last weekend of the month when I went to catch my favorite band, I Am David Sparkle perform. They’re one of Singapore’s local bands, and one of the pioneers of the instrumental post-rock scene here.
They performed for an event called Metal Stargazer in Zouk Club Singapore. The event was curated by phunkstudio legend Alvin Tan, who transformed its landscape into an environment infused with red as the theme color. I Am David Sparkle played all their songs from their latest album Sword. Four of them dressed up in robes (inspired by Sunn O perhaps) on a separate podium, while the drummer was on the main stage. I can say that it’s an interactive performance as metal related motion graphics or animation content were ‘flashed’ throughout the show, along with distorted riffs and power chords.

Futuristic electronic duo Prince Rama reached out for a chance to test the Fisheye. Based on their energy and music, which involves elements of performance art, dance-club initiation rite, and vintage VH-1 hair-metal-bravado, we couldn't resist. We were not disappointed by what they came up with!
Inspired by the idea that we are all creators and connected, David Block came to Lomography NYC with a vision for a collaborative project during a night of musical debauchery at Brooklyn's House of Yes. We were immediately intrigued and the project came to life in a way better than expected.
We are heading north in June to host a series of analogue workshops at The Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle in Leeds. There will be 5 workshops spread across 3 venues. You’ll get to learn about shooting analogue against a backdrop of amazing art & beautiful surroundings.
We had received over 2,000 entries for the Lomography x Casetify: #SlayThePortrait Photo Competition and they were all fantastic! It was a tough decision to make but we've finally voted for five winners.
We chatted with LA based alternative rock outfit Night Riots after they recently tested the Lomo'Instant Wide. Their photos are moody and atmospheric, just like they describe their musical style, and we were delighted to hear that they share a love for analog magic and happy accidents.

LomoAmigo Eva Zar photographed "BOUND" and couldn't wait to show us the photos. Eva then sat down with Katie Rex, who throws this one-of-a-kind party in Brooklyn, New York, to get a further look into the unique, inclusive nightlife culture she's created.
We were amazed by her work and instantly fell in love with her summer shots. Meet Pauline Gallot, a french photographer and interior designer whose work is all about telling stories and capturing authentic moments.
We teamed up with The Science Museum to offer you the chance to win tickets to the Fox Talbot Dawn of the Photograph Exhibition. We were astounded at the volume of wonderful analogue shots you submitted and choosing the final 3 winners proved to be quite a challenge. Find out if you won here.
Last summer we were lucky to visit 4 cities in 3 different countries, just within a few days. This was reason enough to give my very first LomoChrome Turquoise a try. Afterwards I was astonished by the absolutely unexpected colors of the shots.
Bea Dewhurst is our newest member of the Lomography UK team and we have been testing out her photography skills with a variety of cameras and lenses. We lent her the Lomo'instant Automat and a selection of film which accompanied her on a few nights out in London.
