Lomography Gallery Store Soho is bringing you your very own market month this August! Join in the latest workshops and Lomowalks!
We have spent too much of July wrapped up under our duvets and spending the weekends curled up on the sofa as though they were long November nights. Enough is enough! So what’s better than waking up bright and early and heading to six of London’s finest markets and fairs testing a different camera each time!
PLEASE POP IN STORE OR RING US 02074341466 TO BOOK A SPOT!
13th August, Saturday from 11am – Vintage Antiques with the Lubitel @ Alfie’s Antiques Market
The Lubitel166+ is our most sophisticated camera. Let’s celebrate this with a jolly day out to Alfie’s Antiques Market. Here you’ll find vintage fashion, textiles, paintings and furniture; there’s even a vintage hair salon. It’s the perfect setting for shooting with this gentlemanly camera. Tweed jackets and frilly dresses are welcome.
18th August, Thursday from 6pm – Capturing Canal Life with the LCA+ @ Camden Stables Market
Ever wanted to capture true London street fashion in all its glory? Shooting from the hip is what it’s all about and this really is the best way to capture those cool moments without anyone noticing.
21th August, Sunday from 10am – Multiple Madness with the DianaF+ @ Columbia Flower Market
We’ll head off to the flower market which is bursting with colour and character armed with the DianaF+. Here we will shoot a roll of film, rewind the whole thing and shoot over it again. By the end of this workshop you’ll never see in single again!
25th August, Thursday from 6pm – Cameras, Colours & Culture with the LC-A+ @ Brixton Market
One of the lesser known markets on the radar but is home to a lot of history one being the famous Electric Avenue; built in the 1880s, it was the first market street to be lit by electricity. That amongst many many other things are what makes Brixton exciting and diverse.
27th August, Saturday from 11am – Eat Your Heart out with the La Sardina @ Greenwich Market
Our youngest addition to Lomography is itching to show itself off. We’ll give you all the tips and tricks on using this wide angle camera then we’ll jet off to Greenwich and shoot a whole host of food stalls, bric-a-brac and old English pubs. You’ll get to try out the super impressive flash and say hello to some other fishy fellows at the Thames.
