Through Berlin with Ron Eichhorn: Tiergarten, Ebertbrücke and Schloßbrücke

As an in-demand filmmaker, Ron travels around the world: sometimes he films in China, then in South Africa, finding time in between to meditate at a Zen temple in Hawaii. However, his adopted home remains to be Berlin, where he lives in the beautiful Tiergarten district. Here he shows us his favourite spots.

1. Jogging in the Tiergarten
The foliage in the Tiergarten is wonderful at all times of the year and it’s like a little slice of the countryside in the middle of the city. I begin at the Corneliusbrücke, run around the large lake, meet llamas and capybaras at the zoo, ducks and mothers with prams, rabbits and sometimes foxes too. At the Brandenburg Gate, I turn
around and run back along a different path.
Location: Corneliusbrücke, 10787 Berlin-Tiergarten

2. Best View No 1: Ebertbrücke
Pretty much every capital city should be jealous of Berlin for this: in the middle of the city is a complete island of museums, each more beautiful than the last. The view from the middle of the Ebertbrücke at the Bode-Museum and the museum island is just marvelous.
Location: Überführt die Tucholskystraße in die Geschwister-Scholl-Straße, 10117 Berlin-Mitte

3. Best View No 2: Schloßbrücke
Looking from the South at Schloßbrücke. If you drive over the bridge from Unter den Linden, you won’t be able to tell how beautiful it looks – for this you’ll have to walk down to the water and look up. Amazing!
Adresse: Am Schinkelplatz, 10117 Berlin-Mitte
