The Lomographic Society is proud to see its active online community growing! Yesterday we hit a very special milestone, 25,000 active homes (with at least 5 pictures) on our current site!

While it is great to see that the community IS growing on our current homepage we would like to encourage you all to use your beta homes more! If you have not migrated your home already, here are a few reasons why you should consider doing this:

  • easier to upload photos
  • faster to upload photos
  • easy to tag your photos

  • you can earn piggies by submitting locations, camera & film reviews and blog entries
  • new features coming very soon

6105 Lomographers have already activated their beta homes, 84220 photos and a staggering 64 comments have been written per day.

    That's a big family.
Would make a nice group picture.
We could all get together, organize where we are standing, and write LOMOGRAPHY... And then take a satellite image... :)))

I really like the new functionality of the beta homes like uploading faster (and bigger files) leave direct comments on pictures, the blog comments, the rumbles, the reviews, etc.... but now I'd really like to discover the future full lomohomes with own lomowall (with a kind of building possibility as used for the london lomowall contest??) and guestbook and... the full migration! :)))) But I'm sure you're working hard on all this stuff and simply can't wait to see the NEW lomography.com site! :))

I've slowly started to move to the new home, but I was kinda hoping for the promised full migration where our old albums could be easily moved over to the new site.... But with all the competions going on etc, I just can't wait any longer...

Also waiting for the Camera Experts, LWA, World.Browser, Guestbook, LomoWall, City Tips, Missions, Piggybank, etc, to be incorporated into the new home...

Any ideas when the "full migration" will be ready? Last I heard it was supposed to be done in october 2008...??

I don't feel at home in my beta home...
I love my old dusty lomo home...
it is where I was born a lomographer, where I grew up...

I takes time to migrate since I have to resize EVERY SINGLE IMAGE and add ".jpg" TO EVERY SINGLE FILENAME before I can upload them.

I always hated moving from one home to another!!!
