Tracy Moore another of our newest Lubitel Lovers is no stranger in the Lomography community picking up his first LC-A 10 years ago. He describes his new Lubitel among others as humble and perfect.
1. How long have you been a Lomographer? How did you find out about Lomography?
I got my first LCA from my wife as an anniversary present I think in 1998. She had read someplace about this amazing camera that took really arty shots and so she bought me one. I used it on and off for a while, but didn’t really go crazy with the LCA until I finally registered my lomohome in 2004 and started reading all the tips and tricks that others had posted. It was like a switch went off in my head and suddenly my cool camera transformed into a magic relic filled with infinite possibilites to explore.
2.The strangest, funniest, or hands-down greatest photographic/Lomographic encounter that you have ever had.
The Lomo World Congress ‘07….in London. Wow…the whole event was off the charts fun…and strange…and GREAT. I loved every minute of it. I’m ready for the next one!
3. If your photos shown here could have a soundtrack of three songs, what would they be (song title & artist please).
Ground Control to Major Tom by David Bowie
The Lighthouse by Interpol
Paranoid by Black Sabbath
4.If you could be anywhere, doing anything,
right now – where would it be and what would you do?
At the LWC 07 I met lomographers from 29 different countries. I would love to be on a giant road trip right now visiting many of them. This is the kind of trip where I litterally would take nothing but some clothes, several cameras, my journal….and not a whole lot more. Aimlessly wandering the planet taking pictures, drawing, and meeting people sounds like a dream to me.
