Vancouver

Vancouver was my first trip alone, and the trip that I’ll never ever forget. I spent one month there studying and sight-seeing. If you think of traveling to study English, definitely you have to go to Vancouver, it’s a great place to study. Besides that, it’s a great city for people who want to have everything around them.

There are amazing beaches on its coast (Vancouver is on the western coast of North-America); the city is very cosmopolitan, with lots of non-Canadian people (Indian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Brazilian etc) living there, studying – it sure is a very open city that welcomes everyone; and there are big mountains with sky stations throughout the winter. Vancouver is even nice in the winter – it doesn’t snow in the downtown, only in the mountains. 4 degrees is the average temperature.

Great places to visit (and shoot): Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Market and Granville, Robson St for shopping and people-seeing, Hastings St, iMax cinema, Waterfront Station, North Vancouver, Doctor Sun Yat-Sen Classical Garden, the narrowest building in the world (near the Classical garden).

If you’re thinking of going there to study the best place to stay in surely is a Home stay family.

If you think of going there, don’t think twice!
