Most of you will know this: you have millions of pictures, but when you are searching one of yourself, then there are maybe only one or two self-portraits in the mirror — and that’s it. I really liked it, when I got the cable release with the LC-A+, and felt that I need more!
Not sure if it is the same 10m (33ft) Cable Release as you can buy it in the Lomography Store, but it works the same way. You press the air into the cable, and the stick for the shutter comes out at the other side.
There are now endless possibilities about taking pictures with this accessory, I started with a little photo shoot with my girl. We were having a holiday weekend at the sea. I placed the LC-A+ on a Gorillapod, and started having fun!
It’s nice to come back after a holiday and having pictures with both of us on them!
Another idea, which I didn’t yet realize, is, to shoot animals that you normally can’t get close enough to. For example, placing the camera with a tripod in front of a birdhouse, and when a bird flies in, take a very close-up picture!
Unfortunately, my cable release is not working together with the Diana Cable Release Collar because the screw thread has a different diameter. But I will just fix it with some tape, and then also use it with my beloved Diana!
