My Wedding Shoot

2011-07-23 30

I like to take the picture of weddings. I can feel a sense of satisfaction and joy with each moment of happiness and beauty that I could capture using film and a Lomography camera.

I want to prove to those who doubt and make strange faces every time I use a Lomography camera that I can capture pictures of weddings. Analogue cameras that use film still exist and can produce beautiful images.

I would like to share some shots that I took.

I have captured a beautiful engagement, pre-marital and marriage of my friends, among them are

Azly and Jaja engagement
Lan and Yani Pre Wedding
Lan and Yanie Wedding

I was lucky when me and my other friend from magikcolours had the chance to shoot the wedding of johann_affendy, as he is one of the well known Lomographers.

Watch the video of Johann’s wedding here

Also visit magikcolours FB page for more info and pictures!

Thanks and Lomo on, never off!

This is wonderful! I loved all the sets, especially the one at the train. For me it was also an opportunity to see weddings from cultures different than mine. This article has become an inspiration to me. :)

I went to my first wedding as a Lomographer for the first time last week. I can't wait to see the results. (That's the bad part, waiting, huh?)

Long Exposures Around Europe with the Minitar-1 Art Lens

One of the things I like the most about the Minitar-1 Art lens is how sharp the focus can be when you shoot with a small aperture. So if you are one of those that like to shoot at night, get a tripod, add this to a late dark winter afternoon, and you will end up with a bunch of beautiful long exposures. This is what I did on my last trip to Europe.

How to Develop Photos on Stone in a Darkroom

I have always loved the idea of seeing my photos on stone and other natural materials. So, a few months ago, I began googling how it could be done. This is how I discovered (and fell in love with) liquid emulsion. Liquid emulsion is photographic emulsion which you can melt down and paint on any surface. You can then expose an image and develop it using traditional darkroom chemicals. In this article, I would like to explain the process a little, so that if you are also interested in giving this fun process a go, you can!

In Lomographs: Five Eerie Places From Around the World

Fueled by wanderlust, a sense of wonder, and curiosity, lomographers have been through all corners of the world to explore and capture on film everything it has to offer. Lomographers have arguably seen it all—and by all we mean not just the beautiful vistas, but also those places that only the brave ones venture into. Here are but a few of them.

    Celeste Ortiz: Analog Possibilities

Photography has been described as a time-stopping device, something that “freezes” an action. This moment on-pause is the most salient; all conversation about the picture will tend to pin down the beauty of that second. Celeste Ortiz’s photos make us think of something else. A sense of continuation.
