Making a movie is certainly no joke. There’s a script selection process, casting calls, callbacks and what have you. So for our Cannes Mini Movie Contest, we together with MUBI, gave directors at Cannes Film Festival the chance to create some mini movies of their own with Lomography Multilens Cameras!

So which of our aspiring directors delivered box office gold? It’s none other than James Thompson, whose riveting performance wins him the grand prize of a top secret Lomography camera and a 3 day trip to Vienna, Austria to visit the Lomography Headquarters. Congratulations!

The winning photo entry by James Thompson

Here’s the runners-up and the rest of the entries. If you want to see the winning photos in all their animated glory, visit the Cannes Microsite! Congrats to everyone!

Want to make movies of your own? Make your Lomographs tell the story you want with MiniMovies! Yes they are back, bigger and better than before!
